It’s Summer Comiket Time

The time has come once again for our bi-annual money grubbing post!

Comiket 86 is now one month away and we need money! Unfortunately the loss of being able to use Paypal has resulted in fewer donations in between the main doujin events. Our goal this time around will once again be $300. Anything that we don’t end up spending will be saved for future smaller doujin events and/or winter comiket.

As I mentioned before, we can no longer we use paypal – ever – so we are forced to find alternatives. For now I’d recommend those in the US use Amazon Payments. You can find more info on that on our donation page over here:
Support Yuri-ism

For those outside of the US and/or those who have experience with it, we can take donations of digital currency such as bitcoin, dogecoin, etc. You may also donate through Flattr if you wish, but in their system it takes some time for the money to get to us.

If you have any questions on these donation methods, please feel free to ask! It sucks not having the ease of paypal, but we’ve got to deal with it. That said, if anyone has alternative suggestions for services to use – particular those easier for people not living in the US – we’d love to hear them.

As always, we are very appreciative of your continued support!

  1. I’m going all three days and might be able to pick up a few things to take back to the US with me, if you have a shopping list.

  2. Shut up and take my money! 🙂 How long does it take for the money to get through Flattr? Days, weeks? Should I hurry?

  3. Do i have to be major age to donate? I mean, here the major age is 18, and i’m 17 but i do have a job and i think i can help at least. Actually, what really matters is for when you guys need this money, since i’ll only get my payment probably around August 8. I’ve been following yuri-ism for quite some time now and i thought it was time to help too. If i’m unable to donate this year i’m bound to in 2015. This is a promise.

  4. I have heard about many people having trouble using paypal (this is only for my own information, just want to figure out why paypal has been such a huge problem to people). Why can’t you use paypal? Is it because using the Donate button allows them to restrict your account and hold all of your money?
