Eri makes her triumphant return in chapter 36, but she misunderstands why Sachi and Ayari want to meet up! This is Food Girls though, so the conflict is small and the cuteness is large. The seafood in this chapter looks especially tasty, and mildly traumatic (comeback Sachi’s clam friends!!). It also really made me want to eat paella, which is my favorite rice dish to use clams in, plus we can only really get little neck clams around here. So, a nice infusion of saffron and paprika go a long way to fancying up a pretty mediocre shellfish.

Peak home clam paella also incorporates shell on shrimp, chorizo, garlic, leek, and tomatoes. Try a nice medium-dry white wine along the lines of a pinot gris and you’re in for a wonderful treat for dinner.

Seven years and almost six hundred releases now, I can’t say I ever thought we’d get this far. To some of you new people this may not seem like much, but we’ve gone through a lot all these years. We’ve somehow managed to keep going nonstop no matter what life threw at us. I am very proud of my staff and everyone that has supported us through the years. I’ll keep my part short so I don’t ramble for too long. Moving forward our QCers will start writing some of the blog posts rather than being from me (Chansu), Nandeyanen or Almond. Our QCer KyrieVinceya and resident food expert will take over food girls blog posting. I’ll see you all next year, hopefully!

Anyways, today’s release is chock-full of Sachi stress, sisterly misunderstandings, a ‘that’s what you’re mad about?!’, and eggs. So, many eggs. Mae will probably hate this release. There are eggs from multiple bird species, food products made from eggs, whole eggs, and eggs being diced into little bits. So, apllogies to our loveable Top Spud already.
