I only saw a tiny bit at the start although granted that was also the horrible subbed version (Everything will be “Daijoubou”) yeah sure i know that it’s clearly different than the manga which i think i’ll stick to
I’ve seen some weird shows in my day, but Yuri Kuma felt like I was watching a fever dream. That said, I’m still looking forward to the rest.
I kind of like the manga’s story better, mostly because NO ONE’S BEEN EATEN.
Hmmm… you know there’s two different kinds of “being eaten” when yuri is involved? lol

I haven’t read the Yuri Kuma manga but the anime… I’m not even sure what I’ve just watched but I feel compelled to watch more. Either everything will make sense around ep. 4-5 or I’ll just watch the whole thing having no idea what is even happening. Still…Yuri. Bears. 10/10

I’m a huge fan of Ikuhara, and can see the stylistic connection between Yurikuma and his other work, but Yurikuma kind of feels like it’s missing a lot. The symbolism is obvious, the characters, premise, and plot are kind of one note and unengaging. The whole thing sort of feels like self-parody with none of the sincere dialogue or pathos.
Kind of a shame. I was super excited for it. I’m still open to seeing where it goes though. Personally, if he only had 12 episodes, I would have preferred like a down to Earth drama, or maybe something less satirical and with more gravitas, a la Lynch.
Yuri Kuma was like one huge gay clusterfuck. I didn’t know what the hell was going on, except that it was gay as fuck. I hope the story doesn’t go normal later on, that would spoil everything.

Too early to judge Yuri Kuma yet, but it certainly was one of the weirdest things I’ve seen so far.

I’m pretty unimpressed with Yuri Kuma Arashi so far, hoping it will pick up with later episodes. A shame really, I should be rejoiced for more explicit yuri, but I can’t help the fact that it didn’t entertain me all that much.
Well now that I have just watched it I must say it was a incredibly horrible mess. What drugs were the people who made this on?! Just by the opening it seems like this is one of those “Might as well be made as a Hentai” animes. Don’t get me wrong I love Hentai. I think Hentai is better done than any American LA porn. I can not believe it was made by the the same director that did my Sailor Moon. Seriously this and ones like Queens Blade are why people that haven’t seen anime thinks its all porn and weird stuff. If you want good yuri anime try “Kuttsukiboshi” OVA by Naoya Ishikawa. Or Takashi Ikeda’s “Sasameki Koto (Whispered Words)”. Or for humor and drama “KashiMashi ~Girl Meets Girl~”. Granted this was only the first episode, but I don’t see how they can focus this mess from watching this first episode.
