This was actually surprisingly tasty- I’m not usually a mushroom person- made this with cremini since I couldn’t find other fresh mushrooms than the boring white ones. The recipe doesn’t have cooking times, but I found that “long enough to go read the recipe again, find the ingredient, chop it up and add it” was about right in every case. A pair of butterknives works well for guiding the egg. If you like vinegar, you might add more than the recipe suggests- it really brings out the sour, especially if you do the tomato-scoop thing. I just wish the soup had behaved a bit better for the camera. It doesn’t look as tasty as it is in this photo :p

P.S. If you haven’t noticed already, at the very end of each chapter there’s a bonus comic panel and a recipe you can try out yourself! One of our members, Ringo, tried out the dish featured last time, Egg Fluffy. Here’s what it looks like and what she has to say about it:

“As far as comments, I’d say this is a pretty easy recipe to make. But it’s really not a meal in and of itself. It’s a great addition to say a soup or a ramen though. Next time I make ramen I plan to make an Egg Fluffy on top of it. If you don’t mind a little elbow grease whipping the egg whites up then the texture is to die for! Definitely recommend this.”

P.P.S. Nandeyanen tried it too. His tip: “The white egg foam is actually supposed to be closer to a meringue. It’s not enough to just foam the egg.”

Release 390: Yuri eggs and ham
